Uncaged Monkeys in Cardiff

Posted on May 10, 2011

Last saw the ‘Uncaged Monkeys’ tour visit Cardiff’s St David’s Hall. Billed as ‘the first ever national science tour celebrating the universe and the wonders that lie it’, it’s been organised by the comedian and broadcaster Robin Ince. His ‘Nine Carols and Lessons for Godless People’ have become something of an annual Christmas institution at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre, and this tour follows a similar format.

There was a local face on the bill too; Dr Dean Burnett. He juggles a career as a neuroscientist with standup comedy, and I caught up with him before the show.

I also spoke to Alice Sheppard, who co-founded the Cardiff branch of ‘Skeptics in the Pub’ with Dean.
